As part of the 2026 Quality Commission Unit Visits—conducted with the aim of continuously improving our university’s quality assurance system, strengthening the culture of quality, and ensuring that quality processes are carried out effectively and sustainably at the unit level—a quality assessment and information meeting was held at our Faculty on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.

Chaired by our Vice Rector for Quality, Prof. Dr. Hasan Tezer, the meeting was attended by the Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Şevki Demirbaş; representatives from our University’s Quality Coordination Office, Quality Assurance System (KVYS) Coordination Office, and the Directorate of Strategic Development; relevant departmental advisory members; and members of our Faculty’s Strategic Development and Quality Commission.

At the opening of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hasan Tezer and Prof. Dr. Şevki Demirbaş delivered opening remarks. Prof. Dr. Hasan Tezer provided a general overview of our university’s quality assurance system, the sustainability of quality processes, and the improvement initiatives currently underway.

As part of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Gürcü Koç, Prof. Dr. Fatih Emre Boran, Özge Özkartal, and Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Yıldırım delivered presentations on quality assurance, quality management, and strategic planning processes.

The presentations and evaluations covered the Institutional Self-Assessment Report, the sustainability of Gazi University’s institutional accreditation, program accreditation efforts underway in our Faculty, the participation of external stakeholders and students in quality assurance processes, activities under the Quality Improvement Plan, and our Faculty’s strengths and areas for improvement.

Additionally, discussions were held regarding the first-half 2026 evaluations under the University’s 2024–2028 Strategic Plan, the 2026 Unit Improvement Plans, activities that have become systematic under the 2025 Quality Improvement Plan, the preparation process for the Unit Self-Evaluation Report, and efforts to keep the “Improvements” section up to date were discussed.

During the meeting, the work carried out by our Faculty in the areas of quality assurance, accreditation, and strategic management was evaluated, and views were exchanged on developing current practices and continuing quality processes in line with the principle of continuous improvement.

The meeting concluded following mutual evaluations and an exchange of views.
