The Information Session on Research Projects Involving Undergraduate Students, organized by our Faculty’s Student Project Coordination Unit, was held on October 13, 2026, in the Tashkent Conference Hall; with the participation of our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Serhat Karyeyen, our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Şevki Demirbaş, our department chairs, faculty members, and students, and was met with great interest.

The opening remarks were delivered by our Faculty Dean, Prof. Dr. Şevki Demirbaş. Following this, our Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Serhat Karyeyen, gave a comprehensive presentation on research projects that can be carried out with the participation of undergraduate students.

In line with our university’s identity as a research university and the development of research-oriented work, the presentation provided detailed information on students’ project development processes, available project opportunities, and application procedures. Additionally, the requirements for students to complete their work as part of the graduation project course with a scientific publication or project output were discussed, and the paths students can follow in this process were highlighted.

Aimed at supporting a culture of research and project development among students, increasing their participation in research activities at the undergraduate level, and helping them transform their project ideas into tangible outcomes, the meeting provided an important opportunity to raise our students’ awareness regarding research projects.
