Our Faculty’s Applied Education Committee held its end-of-year evaluation meeting on July 17, 2026, chaired by our Dean, Prof. Dr. Şevki Demirbaş.

During the meeting, the processes for industrial internships and workplace training courses currently being conducted at our Faculty were discussed in detail, and issues encountered in practice, existing procedures and principles, the internship forms used, and the operation of these programs were evaluated. Based on feedback received from students, academic advisors, and employers, recommendations were discussed aimed at making these processes more effective, efficient, and sustainable.

As a result of the evaluations conducted by the Commission, decisions were made to prepare a new draft of the Procedures and Principles for Industrial Internships, to make updates to the Procedures and Principles for the Workplace Training Course, to revise the Internship Application and Acceptance Form (Form-1), and to simplify certain forms in order to reduce the bureaucratic burden in the internship processes.

It is planned that the decisions made at the meeting will be finalized in accordance with the opinions and recommendations of the relevant department chairs and then reviewed by the Faculty Council. Our Faculty is resolutely continuing its efforts to enhance the quality of applied engineering education and to continuously improve the internship and workplace training course processes.
