Prof. Dr. Orhan Kaplan, a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at our faculty, has been appointed as Director of the Institute of Natural Sciences. Prof. Dr. Kaplan took over the position from Prof. Dr. Uğur Gökmen, a faculty member in the Department of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering at our faculty. We congratulate Prof. Dr. Orhan Kaplan on assuming the directorship of the Institute of Natural Sciences, which plays a significant role in our university’s graduate education and research activities, and wish him success in his new position. We also wish Prof. Dr. Uğur Gökmen, who has stepped down from the directorship of the Institute of Natural Sciences, success in his future academic endeavors.
