In line with the efforts undertaken as part of our Faculty’s MÜDEK accreditation process, on-site visits to the departments that have applied have been initiated under the coordination of our Faculty administration. Within this framework, the first visits were conducted to the Department of Energy Systems Engineering and the Department of Civil Engineering.
These visits were carried out by a delegation comprising our Faculty administration and our Faculty’s Occupational Health and Safety expert, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adem Tekerek, and the inspections were conducted entirely within the scope of the internal evaluation studies carried out by our Faculty. During the visits, the current status of the departments was examined on-site, particularly with regard to occupational health and safety and accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
Following the evaluations, detailed reports were prepared regarding the deficiencies identified in the departments, and it is planned to share these reports with the relevant units and implement the necessary improvements promptly.
These initiatives are expected to make a significant contribution to the quality assurance and continuous improvement processes carried out in accordance with MÜDEK standards. Our faculty remains committed to its efforts to make educational environments safer, more accessible, and of higher quality.
In line with our planning, we aim to complete visits to our other departments in the coming days, and efforts to address the identified shortcomings will continue at full speed.
