Our Faculty Held the Academic General Assembly Meeting for the 2025-2026 Academic Year

Gazi University Faculty of Technology 2025-2026 Academic General Assembly Meeting was held on November 26 in our faculty's Taşkent conference hall.

The Gazi University Faculty of Technology 2025-2026 Academic General Assembly Meeting was held on November 26 in our faculty's conference hall with broad participation. The program began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, followed by a musical performance by Mr. İlhami ÇETİK and Mr. Cihan HELVACIOĞLU.

The opening speeches were delivered by our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Musa ATAR and our University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Serhat KARYEYEN. The speeches emphasized the academic development of the Faculty of Technology, the increase in its research capacity, and the strategic roles undertaken by the faculty on behalf of the university.

As part of the program, plaques were presented to our faculty members Prof. Dr. Adem Acır, Dr. Türker Tuğrul, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aktaş, who ranked high in the 2025 AVESİS Academic Performance Evaluation results. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Demirtaş and Prof. Dr. Ayhan Erdem, who successfully represented our faculty at TEKNOFEST 2025, were awarded for their achievements in the competitions. Then, plaques were presented to Prof. Dr. Hasan Hüseyin Sayan, Prof. Dr. Hacı Mehmet Şahin, and Prof. Dr. Seyhan Fırat, who were awarded support under the 2025 TÜBİTAK 1001 projects. Prof. Dr. Orhan Kaplan, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Volkan Kılıçlı, and Prof. Dr. Volkan Yılmaz, who achieved significant successes in international bilateral cooperation projects and European Union-supported studies, also received awards for their contributions.

During the rest of the program, our Faculty administration gave a general evaluation presentation regarding the 2025-2026 academic year and shared information about our faculty's work in the areas of education, research, quality, and accreditation. The meeting ended after questions, comments, and suggestions were received.

As the Faculty of Technology, we would like to thank all our academics who attended the meeting and wish them a successful academic year.
