As the Faculty of Technology, we held our opening ceremony for the 2025-2026 Academic Year with enthusiastic participation.

The ceremony was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal, our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Necdet Hayta and Prof. Dr. Serhat Karyeyen, our Rector's Advisor Prof. Dr. Selami Candan, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture Prof. Dr. Ülkü Duman, our Dean Prof. Dr. Musa Atar, faculty members, and students.

The program began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, followed by a concert performed by students from the Music Education Department of the Faculty of Education's Fine Arts Division. Following the concert, our Dean, Prof. Dr. Musa Atar, delivered the opening speech. In his speech, our Dean highlighted our faculty's strong academic structure consisting of nine departments, its qualified academic staff, and the achievements attained in recent years. He particularly emphasized that our leadership in TÜBİTAK projects demonstrates our faculty's research capacity. He also noted that international collaborations will be increased in the new period, the digital transformation and artificial intelligence-based education infrastructure will be strengthened, and pioneering work will be carried out in the field of sustainability.

Following the deanery, our Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal emphasized Gazi University's deep-rooted history dating back to the founding years of the Republic and its national and international prestige. He stated that universities should not only be centers that produce knowledge but also centers that transform knowledge into social benefit. Our Rector noted that the Faculty of Technology equips its students with practical skills and prepares them for the professions of the future thanks to its strong ties with industry. He also stated that our university will prioritize quality education, a strong research infrastructure, internationalization, and sustainability in the coming period.

As part of the ceremony, a robe-wearing ceremony was held for our faculty members who were appointed to the positions of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. Congratulatory certificates were presented to the research assistants appointed to our faculty over the past year. In addition, our retired professors, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Orhan and Assistant Professor Abdullah Duran, were thanked and presented with plaques.

At the end of the program, congratulatory certificates were given to the students who ranked first in our departments for the 2025-2026 academic year. The opening ceremony ended with a group photo of the participants.
