With the presence of our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa YILDIZ, the 2023-2024 Academic Year Opening Ceremony and Academic General Assembly Meeting was held on 25 October 2023 at 10:30 at 10:30 in Taşkent Conference Hall of our Faculty with the presentation of Aynur KOÇAK, Research Assistant, Department of Electrical-Electronic Engineering of our Faculty.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa YILDIZ, Dean Prof Dr. Musa ATAR, Vice Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orhan KAPLAN and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Bahadır ÖZDEMİR, Director of Institute of Science and Technology Prof. Dr. Uğur GÖKMEN, Director of Vocational School of Technical Sciences Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alpay ÖZER, Head of Wood Products Industrial Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Hamza ÇINAR, Head of Computer Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Ayhan ERDEM, Head of Electrical-Electronic Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Şevki DEMİRBAŞ, Head of Industrial Design Engineering Department Prof. Dr. İsmail ŞAHİN, Head of Energy Systems Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Mustafa AKTAŞ, Head of Manufacturing Engineering Department Prof. Dr. İhsan KORKUT, Head of Civil Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Salih YAZICIOĞLU, Head of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Behçet GÜLENÇ, Head of Automotive Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Mesut DÜZGÜN and faculty members from our faculty attended the programme.

The programme started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem and continued with a music concert given by the students of Gazi Faculty of Education, Department of Music Education.

Our Dean Prof. Dr. Musa ATAR, who made the opening speech of the programme, said: "I would like to thank you on behalf of myself and my faculty for sharing our happiness with us in the new academic year, which we started with great excitement and hope, and I present my respects. I hope that this academic year will be beneficial to our country, our nation, our university, our faculty, our students and their families, our teaching staff and our employees.  The Faculty of Technology is committed to the fundamental values of the Republic, renewing and developing itself, thinking critically, open to innovations, at peace with itself, developing engineering theories and practices with high quality scientific research / development activities thanks to the collaborations established at national and international level, and having strong ties with the industry, By training well-equipped engineers, experts and academicians with strong application knowledge and skills needed for the country's industry and the sector, it continues its mission with the main goal of training engineers who are capable of planning, designing, personally at the beginning of the work, undertaking and executing the work in line with the needs of our country." In the continuation of his speech, our Dean thanked the faculty members of our Faculty for their devoted work. He completed his speech by wishing success to our students who prefer our Faculty in the 2023-2024 Academic Year.

Speaking at the programme, our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa YILDIZ said: "As Gazi University Faculty of Technology, it is our responsibility to educate individuals who have ethical values, environmental awareness and a sense of social responsibility while educating the technology-producing engineers and leaders of the future. We all wholeheartedly believe that technology should not only facilitate human life, but also be used to make the world a better, more livable place. Dear colleagues, the success of our Faculty of Technology should not be limited to its own internal dynamics. Cooperation and interaction with external and internal stakeholders brings great success. This faculty has been carrying the name of Gazi University to the top ranks in national and international platforms with the students it has trained, the valuable faculty members who have been working with their researches and academic publications, and the academicians who come from different disciplines and make valuable contributions to our university with new perspectives." Our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa YILDIZ ended his speech by thanking the participants.

2023-2024 Academic Year Opening and Academic General Assembly Meeting Boarding and Dressing Ceremony, presentation of plaques to Prof. Dr. Adnan SÖZEN, Prof. Dr. Hamit SOLMAZ and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdem ÇİFTÇİ, who are in the top three according to the 2023 Avesis data, the presentation of plaques to our retired teachers Prof. Dr. İnan GÜLER and Asst. Prof. Dr. Yılmaz KORMAZ, and the presentation of documents to our students who entered our departments with a degree.

In the last part of the programme, our Dean Prof. Dr. Musa ATAR made a presentation at the Academic General Assembly Meeting. In the presentation, he gave information about the academic and administrative status of our Faculty and the activities carried out during his deanship. At the end of the presentation, our Dean shared the information of Gazi Campuses Mosque Building and Sustenance Association for the participants who want to contribute to the construction of Hoca Ahmet YESEVI Mosque built in our Faculty. He ended the programme by thanking the participants.
