TUBITAK Undergraduate Students Support Programme Information Meeting organised by our Deanery was held.

Dean of our Faculty Prof. Dr. Musa ATAR, Vice Deans Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orhan KAPLAN, Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Bahadır ÖZDEMİR, Head of Energy Systems Engineering Department Prof. Dr. Mustafa AKTAŞ, Student Project Coordination Unit responsible Assoc. Dr. Battal DOĞAN, Faculty Lecturers and a large student community attended the meeting.

In the opening speech of the meeting, our Dean Prof. Dr. Musa ATAR stated that our university aims to take activities such as education, research and development, entrepreneurship and social contribution further and to bring them to the same level with developed countries, and in line with these goals, the Student Project Coordination Unit was established within our Faculty in order to support the scientific research activities of the students, they appointed Mr Battal DOĞAN as the unit responsible, that our Student Project Coordination Unit will carry out various activities, and that the participation and contribution of our students and academic staff to these activities is very important and valuable. In the continuation of his speech, our Dean said that the most important task for us is to raise engineers who will conduct qualified research, have the ability to develop important projects that will produce solutions to the problems of the society in which they live, and are strong in every aspect, and for this reason, the participation of the students and academic staff of our Faculty in project-supported research activities is important and valuable. Our Dean thanked Assoc. Prof. Dr. Battal Doğan for his support and for undertaking such an important task. He completed his speech with the slogan "A Project from Each Student".

Speaking during the continuation of the meeting, Student Project Coordination Unit responsible Assoc. Prof. Dr. Battal Doğan made a presentation about TÜBİTAK 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support and 2209-B University Students Research Projects Support for Industry. In the presentation, he informed the students about the importance of Research Projects and the TÜBİTAK Project application process and the issues to be considered during the application. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Battal DOĞAN completed his speech by expressing his gratitude and thanks for the great interest of the students in the meeting.
