1- (Electronic) REGISTRATION THROUGH e-Devlet

Candidates who have just settled in our university will be able to register electronically (E-Registration) using their e-devlet passwords on the website https://turkiye.gov.tr. Candidates who do not have an e-devlet password can obtain their passwords by personally applying to the PTT branches with their photo identification documents with their TR ID number.

E-Registration can be made for all programs except TUSAŞ-Kazan Vocational School Aircraft Technology program.

Electronic records via e-devlet can be made from the "University E-Registration"  option under the  "Higher Education Board Presidency" section in the "e-services"  section of the https://turkiye.gov.tr  ​​internet address  between  28-30 August 2023.  It will be carried out after authentication with the state password.

Candidates who register with e-devlet will complete their registration by taking a printout with barcode showing that they  have registered  .

Students who register to the University electronically via E-Registration do not need to come to the University to register and bring documents.

An SMS will be sent by our University to the mobile phones registered in the ÖSYM system of the students who register electronically via e-devlet   . At the same time, students will be able to see the information about their e-Government registration in the Gazi University Student Information System.

* The Medical Board Report, which certifies that  the students who register electronically  to the Recreation Program of the Faculty of Sports Sciences do not have any health problems that will prevent them from continuing their education and doing sports that require heavy effort, that they will receive from a full-fledged state or university hospital, will be submitted to the Faculty of Sports Sciences until 17.30 on  Monday, September 25, 2023.  They must be submitted to the Student Affairs Office.     

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is highly recommended for our newly registered students to register electronically (E-Registration) via the https://turkiye.gov.tr ​​website, as it saves time and reduces material and moral burden. 

 

2-REGISTRATION AT THE UNIVERSITY

• Students who do not prefer electronic registration,

•   Students whose electronic registration cannot be made due to compulsory reasons (who do not appear to have graduated from high school in the E-Registration system, have problems with military service, do not have a TR ID number, are registered in another higher education institution), 

• Students who will enroll in the TUSAŞ-Kazan Vocational School Aircraft Technology program, which is excluded from the scope of electronic registration by our university,

by preparing the necessary documents  for final registration  ; Between August 28 and September 1, 2023, they will register in person or through persons to whom they will give a power of attorney from a notary public.  Registration places are the student affairs offices of the relevant faculties and vocational schools. The addresses of the academic units are available on the web pages of the units.

 

3- DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR REGISTRATION

    (FOR STUDENTS WITHOUT E-REGISTRATION)

1 - The original or certified copy of the diploma from the secondary education institution from which the candidate graduated,   or the newly dated graduation certificate  (Certificate of Achievement does not replace the Certificate of Graduation. After checking, the photocopy of the diploma will be kept in the student file, and the original of the diploma will be returned to the student.)

2- If the candidate is placed by taking advantage of additional points or by passing without an exam, but the field is not specified in his diploma or graduation certificate, the official document showing which school and field he graduated from (For those who graduated from METEM  programs, the name of the school issuing the diploma is written as the name of the school.) 

3 photos of 3-4.5 cm x 6 cm 

4-For TUSAŞ-Kazan Vocational School  Aircraft Technology Program , with the Judicial Registry Document showing that there is no Criminal Record Record or Criminal Record Archive that will prevent him from obtaining an airport entrance card, and any health problem that will prevent him from performing the job and/or the job given in the profession. (Color blindness, hearing loss/deficiency, vision loss/deficiency, etc.) Delegation  Report  obtained  from a full-fledged hospital within the last 6 months [2023 Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) Higher Education Programs and Quotas Guide, Special Conditions and Explanations, 2. section 10]

5-  "Health Board Report" documenting that the students who will enroll in the  Faculty of Sports Sciences Recreation  Program  do not have any health problems that will prevent them from continuing their education and doing sports that require heavy effort, which they will receive from a full-fledged state or university hospital. 

 

4-STUDENTS WHO CANNOT GRADUATE ON THE REGISTRATION DATES (12. Grade Students)

Candidates' high school graduations will be questioned through the Ministry of National Education. The original high school diploma will be requested from the candidates who cannot be questioned by the Ministry of National Education. Candidates who have the right to enroll in a higher education program but cannot graduate from secondary education institutions and will take the make-up or single course exam will also be able to make their temporary registration on the specified dates. If these students submit their certificates of graduation  to the Registrar's Office until 29 December 2023,  their original registration will be made. Temporary registrations of those who cannot document their graduation by this date will be deleted.

 

5-CONTRIBUTION AND TUITION FEES

Formal education (primary education)  students will be able to register without paying Tuition. 

 

6-THE MATTERS TO BE CONSIDERED BY CANDIDATES WHO WILL DEFINITELY ENROLL TO OUR UNIVERSITY

*The military status of male candidates will be questioned through the Ministry of National Defense. If necessary, a military certificate can be requested during registration.  For this reason , it will be useful for you to find out whether your military service status is an obstacle for registration by applying to the  www.turkiye.gov.tr ​​page or your military service branch before registration  .

*According to the decision of the General Assembly of Higher Education, a student cannot attend two formal associate degree or two undergraduate programs at the same time  (except for open education and distance education programs)  .  Candidates whose situations match this description cannot enroll in the higher education program they were placed in, unless they terminated their dismissal from the higher education institution they are currently enrolled in.

*Applications made with missing documents during registration at the university will not be accepted and registration will not be made. 

*There will be no registration other than the announced registration dates and the places of these candidates who are not registered  will be reported to OSYM as vacant quota.

* Military service status of obliged parties who are placed in a higher education program with YKS can be viewed  by universities  at http://kamu.turkiye.gov.tr  . Candidates should apply to the military branches for their problems related to military service, and to the university rectorate or Higher Education Credit and Dormitories Institution for detailed information on loans.  

 

7- INTRODUCTION TO GAZI UNIVERSITY STUDENT INFORMATION SYSTEM

 After completing your registration by choosing one of the e-REGISTRATION or UNIVERSITY REGISTRATION procedures, enter our University's Student Information System and click on one of the "Login with e-devlet" or "Reset Password" options on the screen that opens. Thus, you will be directed to https://obs.gazi.edu.tr/  by logging into the System, fill in the relevant fields and  change your password . For your own safety, do not share your password with anyone.

If you have registered via e-Government, your student number will be notified to you via SMS. If you register at the university, you can learn your student number from the registration officer.

 

8-2023-2024 ACADEMIC YEAR FALL SEMESTER COURSE REGISTRATIONS

 All students who have settled in our university and have completed the final registration process are required to complete their course registrations by choosing a course on the Student Information System on the dates specified in the 2023-2024 Academic Year Academic Calendar  (14-17 September 2023) . An announcement will be made on the website of www.ogris.gazi.edu.tr  or  www.gazi.edu.tr regarding how the course registration will be made   . During their education, students have to complete the course registration process themselves within the periods specified in the academic calendar. However, it will prevent possible mistakes for newly registered students to complete their course registration process under the control of their academic advisors and taking into account the information announced on the web pages of the relevant academic units.

 

9-STUDENT ID CARDS

Students, who have completed the above-mentioned procedures, will be able to obtain their digital identity cards from the units they are registered with by presenting one of the photographic identity documents (Turkish Identity Card, Turkish Identity Card, passport or driver's license) with a Turkish ID number, as of the date to be announced later. These cards can be used for both student and bank transactions.     

 

10-QUALIFICATION EXAM FOR PROGRAMS TEACHING PARTIALLY OR COMPLETELY IN A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Foreign language exemption exam (proficiency) on September 11, 2023  (Session I) and  September 13, 2023  (Session II) for students who have a compulsory preparatory class in their programs (partially or completely foreign language education programs) who register electronically or at the University via e-Registration.   exam) will be done. Students who do not participate in this exam or who do not get a valid grade will be subjected to compulsory preparatory education.

Students who do not have a preparatory class in their department will not participate in this exam.

11- PLACEMENT EXAM FOR MANDATORY PREPARATORY EDUCATION

A Placement Test for Preparatory Education will be held on 14 September 2023 in order to determine the foreign language levels of students who do not take the proficiency exam held for programs that teach partially or completely in a foreign language, or who do not get a valid grade despite taking the exam. All students who enroll in programs providing education in a foreign language partially or completely but fail the proficiency exam or do not take the proficiency exam are required to take the Placement Exam for Preparatory Education.

12- ENGLISH PLACEMENT EXAM

Students who are newly enrolled in our university's programs whose language of instruction is Turkish   can take the "English Placement Exam" to be held  on September  12 , 2023, if they wish. Students who get a passing grade in this exam are exempted from the compulsory foreign language courses that they must take during their education. The grades that students get in this exam are included in the semester and general academic grade point averages. ( Students who enroll in programs with a compulsory preparatory class will not take this exam.)

13-  TRANSFER OF CREDITS

Students who have studied in another higher education program before can request the transfer of the credits of the courses they have taken and succeeded in this higher education institution.  For this, it is necessary to apply to the relevant dean's office/director together with the transcript and course content within 5 (five) business days from the date of the first registration  . Credit transfer will be made in accordance with the provisions of the “Gazi University Associate and Undergraduate Credit Transfer and Adaptation Procedures Directive”, and the applications made later by those who do not apply within the period will not be evaluated.

 

14- RECOGNITION OF PREVIOUS QUALIFICATIONS

Associate and undergraduate students enrolled in our university,  between August 29 and September 8, 2023  , within five working days following the registration date, their knowledge, skills and competencies, workplace experiences and “Gazi University Pre-Acquired Qualifications Recognition Directive” are 10 They can apply to the relevant academic units for the recognition of the certificates and professional qualification documents defined in the second paragraph of the article.  

 

15-INTERRUPTING EDUCATION AND BEING PERMITTED

After final registration, students who want to take a break from their education or be on leave pursuant to Article 17 of Gazi University Associate and Undergraduate Education-Teaching Examination Regulations, by the method specified in the "Gazi University Directive for Just and Valid Reasons", until 17.30 on Friday, 13 October  2023 .   They will apply to the academic unit they have registered until.
